Matt Russell, Colorado, ILB
6-2 250 lbs

Russell is an experienced inside backer. Last year, as a fifth year senior, he was named the Dick Butkus Award winner and a 1st team AP All-American. He had a very successful career at Colorado, finishing with over 100 tackles in each of the last three seasons. His terrific work ethic and determination will allow him to become a successful pro. Russell has the character and intelligence to become a leader on defense, intangibles which many head coaches look for in a middle linebacker. Look for Russell to be an early second round selection.
