Strengths:
  • Best OL prospect in recent history.
  • Incredible athlete.
  • Devastating run and pass blocker.

    Questions:

  • Why did he refuse an MRI of his knee?

    Projected Draft Round:

  • 1st
  • Orlando Pace, Ohio State, OT
    6-5, 320 lbs.
Pace is the best offensive linemen to enter the NFL in a long time and will be chosen either number one or two overall. He is a better prospect then Tony Boselli and Jonathan Ogden, the two most dominating offensive linemen to enter the NFL in the past two years. Pace is the first two-time winner of the Lombardi Award, and became the first sophomore to win the award in 1995. Also, last year he was awarded the Outland Trophy and was a Heismain finalist. He did not allow a sack in his last two seasons at Ohio State and recorded 76 pancake blocks in 1996. His combination of size, strength, speed, and toughness make him the best player available in the draft. Pace is entering the draft early after three years at OSU. Pace recently refused to allow NFL doctors to give him an MRI on his knee. This fueled speculation that Pace may have some loose cartilage in his knee. However, these rumors are not affecting his draft postion.
