Russell has all the talent in the world. He has incredible physical ability. However, at USC he lacked consistency, he was dominating at times, and only average at others. This may be due to his young age, he is only 20, and scouts don’t seem too concerned with it. They are more interested in Russell's incredible combination of size, speed, strength, and power. Many expect Russell to quickly become a dominating run stopper and pass rusher once he enters the NFL. There are some rumors that have the NY Jets selecting Russell as the first overall selection in the draft
