    Powerful runner with speed, good hands, and quick feet. A complete back who can catch the ball out of the backfield and pass block.

  2. Fred Taylor, Florida, 6-0, 226
    Had a great 1997, averaging 117.5 ypg and scored 13 TDs. Finished as the fourth-leading rusher in the history of University of Florida. Has good speed and size, ran a 4.4 40 on grass in his individual workout. Some scouts worry about his blocking and receiving skills.

  3. Robert Edwards, Georgia, 5-11 1/2, 218
    Good speed and great hands. Possibly the best pass catcher among the running back prospects. Lack of durability is a concern.

  4. Ahman Green, Nebraska, 6-0, 213
    Productive college runner with great speed. His blocking and pass catching skills have yet to be tested due to Nebraska's system.

  5. Robert Holcombe, Illinois, 5-11, 216
    Durable runner with toughness and consistency. Finished his career as Illinois' all-time leading rusher. Accumulated over 1,200 yards in 1997, despite playing on an awful team.
