OL Profiles

  • Tarik Glenn
  • Walter Jones
  • Chris Naeole
  • Orlando Pace
  • Offensive Linemen

The offensive line position is extremely deep in this year’s draft. Orlando Pace is the most dominant offensive tackle to enter the draft in quite some time. Pace could become the first offensive linemen to be selected number one overall in almost three decades. He is the best all around athlete in the draft and should easily step in and become a star in the NFL. Walter Jones from Florida State is another top offensive tackle. He has quick feet and powerful strength and could be among the top ten overall players chosen. Tarik Glenn, a former defensive linemen from California, is a versatile prospect capable of playing both right and left tackle. Other top offensive tackles include; Juan Roque, Arizona State, Scott Sanderson, Washington State, Paul Wiggins, Oregon, Ross Verba, Iowa.

Chris Naeole of Colorado is the top offensive guard prospect. He has a great combination of size, strength, and agility. Naeole should be a first round selection. Other top guards to look for in the draft include; Damon Denson, Michigan, Dan Neil, Texas, Brian Newman, Tulsa, Chris Dishman, Nebraska, Frank Middleton, Arizona.

Ryan Tucker from TCU grades out as the highest rated center. He’s big, strong, and agile, with impressive mobility. However, Tucker is a question mark due to several run-ins with the law. Each passing year, NFL teams seem to have less patience with prospects who have trouble with the law, so Tucker’s stock will certainly be affected. Other centers to watch include; Larry Moore, BYU, Rod Payne, Michigan, Jeff Mitchell, Florida.
