  • Team Needs

    RB, DB, WR

    New England Patriots

RD 1.18 (#18 overall) Robert Edwards, RB, Georgia - Edwards will try and replace Curtis Martin. Edwards has good speed and great hands. Possibly the best pass catcher among the running back prospects. Lack of durability is a concern.

RD 1.22 (#22 overall) Tebucky Jones, S, Syracuse - The Patriots improve their secondary with a player with a lot of potential. Jones is one of the best athletes in the draft. A former running back, he has all the skills to be a great DB in the NFL. Good size (6-1, 215) and speed combination.

RD 2.22 (#52 overall) Tony Simmons, WR, Wisconsin

RD 2.24 (#54 overall) Rod Rutledge, TE, Alabama

RD 3.20 Chris Floyd, RB, Michigan

RD 3.22 Greg Spires, DL, Florida State

RD 4.23 Leonta Rheams, DL, Houston

RD 5.22 Ron Merkerson, LB, Colorado

RD 6.23 Harold Shaw, RB, Southern Mississippi

    RD 7.22
